What this programme covers
The reading club brings learners together around Shona literature. Tutors guide the group through traditional tales, folk stories and modern narratives, then unpack what the language is doing.
Members read aloud, which sharpens pronunciation faster than any drill. They then discuss the meaning of expressions and idioms that do not translate directly, and the cultural context behind them.
It suits learners who already have some vocabulary and want depth. Reading comprehension, confidence and cultural understanding tend to grow together here.
